Day 11  -  Sheridan, WY To Rapid City, SD

    Several views of the Big Horn Mountains from I-90 East of Sheridan.

    Gillette, WY was the planned stop for this day but we decided to press on the Mount Rushmore and spend the night in Rapid City, SD

The final picture is of a bust of the Sculptor of Mount Rushmore.  He was also contracted to carve Stone Mountain in GA but he got into a creative arguement with the backers over putting a hat on Robert E. Lee so he left the project.  His son did most of the overseeing of the actual carving of the Mount Rushmore sculpture.  It was done using the pointer method from a model that was built by his father.
